A few people have asked me what spices I keep on hand. I'm not going to lie, that is a hard question to answer. At last count we have 56 spices. This does not include 2 mystery spices that have no label.
Just recently we decided it was time to label and organize ALL of our spices. So, off we trotted to Walmart (I know, I know, they just had the lowest prices) and got a bunch of 4oz jars with shaker lids and labels. Plus, 2- 8oz mason jars for bigger spices (bay leaves).

Of course, right now, I cannot find the second jar, but whatever. You know what a jar with a handle on it looks like, lol.
The labels do not stick very well to the jars, so that sucks. But I used my pretty hand writing and wrote all labels myself. For the jars in the drawer, we picked up small silver labels from Office Max which were like this, but in silver.
Here is my bookshelf which FH and I made all by ourselves with our partial collection of cookbooks (more are on other bookshelves because we ran out of room, lol) and most of our spices (the sign is from Jo-Ann Fabrics). Also, my spice drawer (both personal photos)
